Tariffs
At the moment Hunter Douglas has made the decision and is NOT passing on Tariffs to Canadian dealers. This may all change, but Hunter Douglas has committed to giving Canadian dealers notice, and changes would apply to future orders, not orders that have been placed and are waiting to ship. I am recommending to all clients that they order sooner rather than later; as pricing could change at some point with this volatile, ever-changing situation.
Hunter Douglas is not American owned. The company started in Montreal, Canada, and has been Dutch owned for over 100 years. A few years ago, most of the company was sold to 3G, which is Brazilian owned. Parts are sourced globally. There are over 200 people employed by Hunter Douglas in Canada. The products made for Canada are from Mexico and the USA. Products made in Mexico are bonded through the USA, and US tariffs are not added.
