How to Select Window Treatments for a Kitchen
As with all rooms, light control is essential in the kitchen, and so is ventilation. Look for window treatments that allow cooling breezes to enter while providing varying degrees of privacy.
If you cook frequently and your stove is near a window, be sure that the window treatment materials you select stand up to heat and humidity and are easy to clean. One great choice are Reveal® aluminum blinds by Hunter Douglas.
Window treatments made of moisture-resistant materials - such as Palm Beach™ polysatin shutters and EverWood® alternative wood blinds - are a great option for a window close to a kitchen sink.
